Chardham Yatra is known as Hindu religious path in the Himalayan region of Garhwal, Uttarakhand state. The path covers the main Hindu pilgrimage destination – Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Many believed that these holy shrines were established by the great saint “Sri Adi Shankaracharya” during the 8th Century. Badrinath Yatra is also one of the four seats of a larger Vaishnava pilgrimage route Char Dham. Char Dham was originally known as the pilgrimage path of four holy places- Puri, Rameshwaram, Dwarka, and Badrinath. Many believed that Badrinath Dham only as the holy place has become a main Himalayan pilgrimage path that became known as “Char Dham”. Chardham Yatra begin every year in starting the first week of May or End week of April and closed during November month. Trip Itinerary
Yamunotri Temple: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple within the 19th Century. it had been destroyed twice within the present century and rebuilt again. At Yamunotri, One can cook rice by packing it during a cloth and dipping it within the predicament of the Tapt kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as “Prasad”. Here near the temple “Pooja” are often offered to Divya Shila. Surya Kund: There are variety of thermal springs near temple, which flows into numerous pools. the foremost important of those is Surya Kund.
Yamunotri Weather – In summer the maximun temp is eighteen degrees and therefore the minimum is 10 degrees celsius.
Vishwanath temple – Vishwanath temple is one among the oldest Shiva temples in Northern India. Re-constructed in 1857 by Maharani Khaneti Devi of Tehri State within the ancient style of architecture . Ganeshji, Sakshi Gopal, Markandeya Rishi’s small shrines also are a part of the temple complex. Akhand Jyoti also as Akhand Abhishek, special aarti in morning and evening are offered. As per Skanda Puran, Uttarkashi is understood as ‘Saumya Varanasi’, the abode of Lord Shiva in Kaliyug and counted together of the twelve Jyotirlingas.
Shakti temple – Right ahead of the Vishwanath temple is Shakti temple. it’s an enormous ‘Trishul’ of about 6 meters tall and a circumference of 90 cms. at bottom. Though there are different views about the making of this, the upper a part of it seems to be made from iron and therefore the lower one is of copper. As per the epics, this Shakti was thrown on the devils by the Goddess Durga(Shakti), hence it gets its name. Since then this Shakti is erected up here.
Uttarkashi Weather – Generally hot in summer, the temperature ranges from 30-35 degree Centigrade but nights is pleasant, Cold in winters.
Gangotri Weather – the utmost temperature during summer can go up to 20° Celsius. Summer nights can get cooler with a minimum temperature of 10° Celsius. Light woolen clothes are required while visiting Gangotri during summer. The Winter season is extremely chilly in Gangotri. Gangotri is going to be covered in sheets of snow during winter. Pilgrim centers remain closed throughout winter thanks to heavy snowfalls.
Guptkashi:- The name Gupt Kashi means “Hidden Benares. Mythology describes how when the Pandava brothers were checking out a glimpse of Shiva, Shivji first concealed himself at Guptkashi, but later fled from them further up the valley to Kedarnath, where the Pandavas finally got their wish fulfilled. Guptkashi Weather – pleasant in summer, the temperature ranges from 25-30 degree Centigrade . Cold in winters.
By Trek: Morning driver will drop you at Sonprayag then you have to take the local jeep for Gaurikund on direct payment basis & then start your trek to Kedarnath Ji. You have option for Pony or Palki on direct payment basis to reach Kedarnath. After reaching checkin to prebooked GMVN rest house in dormitory style. Evening participate in Lord Kedar aarti and have blissful darshan. GMVN also offering veg thali as meal on direct payment basis. Night stay. Next day Early morning darshan of Lord Kedar and start trek down to Gaurikund. Kedarnath: The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva.
Bhim Pul : On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge, lies over the roaring Saraswati river. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.
Vyas Gufa (cave): Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries. Evening drive to Birahi or Pipalkoti and checkin to prebooked hotel and night stay.
